Install shots from "Fish Out Of Water", A joint exhibition of mine and @elan907_art 's works shown at @bathartistsstudios in May of this year.

Fish Out of Water started as a collaboration between Elan and I, noticing the similarities in our practices, connecting through feminist theory, motifs of community, and the otherness of the queer and female experiences.

The exhibition aimed to reflect on what it means to exist within community, highlighting undermined voices and embracing intersectional feminism as an exploration of the queer and feminine experiences within industry and modern socio-political discourse.

Incredibly grateful for this wonderful opportunity and the turnout we got for our private view. Big thank you to everyone who came along and supported our show ❤️.

My Queer Zine Little Library that I made to accomp

My Queer Zine Little Library that I made to accompany my pieces at exhibition, creating space for queer artists to share their zines and stories with each other. Fun little project which came together beautifully and got a great response from the queer community at locksbrook.

Big thanks to everyone who contributed their zines to the library and to the wonderful online resources of free zines for little libraries to include in their collections.

Quite long leg if I do say so myself

"Pluck" (or leg the long way) Was the last piece of my fragmented canaries series (for now), probably being my favourite of the lot. I originally painted it as I got sick of the tall empty space in my house's stairway being so empty.
Unfortunately, due to our leaky house it cannot be hung, but I'm sure one day it'll assume it's rightful place on an equally awkwardly tall and skinny patch of wall.

The fragmented and disorganised canary parts from this series were such a delight to make, pushing me to rely less on references and to get more creative in my compositions. Super fun painting to bring to life and even more fun trying to explain why I wanted to make a 3 meter tall painting to my unis lovely technicians.
